Robert Bryce, a journalist specializing in energy issues, has a reputation for speaking freely about the energy independence concept and the most popular technologies currently being promoted to achieve it. His Monday morning keynote address, "Wind Power Isn't Green And Other Energy Heresies," promises to be a thought-provoking opening to the 2010 GPA Convention in Austin.
Bryce has offered this teaser as insight into what he will be talking about: "America is in the midst of an energy crisis. It's not a crisis due to a shortage of energy, but rather one caused by a near-total ignorance among policymakers and the general public about the energy sector. I will explain why hydrocarbons are here to stay, why most of the promises of renewable energy are simply false, and why the fuels of the future are natural gas and nuclear."
Join us to hear Bryce's keynote address in the convention's Opening Session on Monday, March 22, 10 a.m. - noon.
