GPA Appointed Committees
Members of the following GPA committees are established either by rules set in our association by-laws or by appointment.
Awards Committee
This committee determines recipients of traditional GPA awards (past winners shown here):
- Hanlon
- Katz (based upon suggestion from Research Committee)
- Citations For Service
- Recognition
- Committee Leader of the Year
- Committee Volunteer of the Year
- Reports to the Board of Directors
- Chaired by the current GPA President
- Other members include the three Vice Presidents, Technical Committee Chair, GPSA President, LARAC Chair, EHS Committee Chair, NGL Market Information Committee Chair and up to three presidential appointments
- Meets once per year prior to the GPA Convention

Board of Directors
- This group has control and supervision over the affairs and policies of the Association
Reports to the general membership - Generally made up of around 45 member companies
- Consists of top NGL producers (maximum dues payers = those that produce >585,000 gal/day) and 21 other member companies serving three-year terms
- Meets three times per year
Executive Committee
This committee exercises the power of the Board when the Board is not in session as to routine affairs of the Association.
- Reports to the Board
- Chaired by the current GPA President
- Other members are past GPA President, the three current Vice-Presidents
- Typically meets three times per year in conjunction with the Finance Committee
Finance Committee
This committee advises GPA on fiscal matters.
- Reports to the Board
- Chaired by the current President
- Made up of presidential appointments, usually from members of the Board
- Typically meets three times per year in conjunction with the Executive Committee
Nominating Committee
This committee nominates Association officers
- Nominates member companies to serve on the Board of Directors
- Reports to the Board (technically the membership)
- Made up of five official representatives appointed by the GPA President
- Meets once per year
Program Committee
This committee is responsible for arranging the GPA Convention
- Reports to the Board
- Typically made up of individuals selected by the President
- Meets twice per year in conjunction with June and October Board meetings
